Who I Am
I have been a runner since a sophomore in high school when I decided to lace up my old gym shoes and go for a run. I started getting more serious about my running in 2015 when I decided to train for a half marathon. I did it all wrong! It’s a long story, but I ended up with SI joint dysfunction because of bad form, bad nutrition, and no strength work. With the help of physical therapy and my massage therapist I was able to get back out there and start running after taking about a year off to recover. It was through this experience that I decided that I wanted to help others the way my therapists helped me. I started training with a personal trainer and studying to become a certified personal trainer myself.

I got my NASM personal training certification and started training clients in 2018. My specialties are long distance running, corrective exercise and ages 55 and over. I also have trained women for getting into the military. I have taught a variety of classes including a community 10K and half marathon class, a Ladies 55 and Older strength training class and Team Training through Anytime Fitness.
I also incorporate nutrition coaching within my client’s sessions. We start by identifying small changes that we can make over time that turn into big changes! Nothing happens overnight and huge or dramatic changes in diets don’t typically give lasting results.
My style of coaching is that we start with the fundamentals and build a strong base and build slowly. It takes time to learn your body, improve movement patterns and learn how to safely progress exercises. I also want people to have a good time! We can find routines that hit your “fun” button and you may even laugh at one of my Dad Jokes from time to time!
